our reservation policy (i.e. the fine print)
we're looking forward to welcoming you at esra!
we're a very small restaurant with a very small team, which is why there's a few things to keep in mind when making a reservation with us. nothing drastic - just so that you (and we, too) have the best time possible when you come to visit.
reservation openings
you can book 30 days into the future (i.e. on february 11 the tables for march 13 are released).
a few times a year, the team takes a holiday. our holidays in 2025 (so far) are:
sunday 30 march until wednesday 16 april (reopening thursday 17 april)
sunday 22 june until wednesday 2 july (reopening thursday 3 july)
sunday 24 august until wednesday 17 september (reopening thursday 18 July)
table size
you can book a spot for one person all the way up to four people.
if you're a solo diner, we'll reserve a spot on the kitchen counter for you. basically, you'll be hanging out with the cool kids (us) during your meal.
for groups of two: you can choose to reserve at the kitchen counter or at a table. did we mention the kitchen counter is where all the cool kids sit? plus, the seats are very comfortable with proper backrests.
groups of three and four are automatically booked onto a table.
if you're a table of four, we ask you to dine from our sharing menu priced at 55 euros per person. you can find the latest iteration on our website (but please note that selin changes the menu quite often). we can accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian diners in our sharing menu, and some (but not all) allergies. just make sure to let us know when you book, so that we can prepare.
allergies and dietary restrictions
we’re a very small restaurant with an even smaller kitchen, and unfortunately, that means we’re not able to accommodate every dietary restriction or allergy. with just two of us cooking, we simply don’t have the capacity to adapt dishes or create one-off alternatives. In some cases, this may mean we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to enjoy the full esra experience — as much as we’d love to!
what we can accommodate (with advance notice of 72 hours):
for our à la carte menu (for tables of 1–3 guests) and our set menu (for 4 guests):
- vegetarian diet
- pescatarian diet
- nut allergy
- coeliac disease / gluten intolerance
what we cannot accommodate (unfortunately, on any menu):
- dairy allergy or lactose intolerance (especially cream, butter, and soft cheeses)
- pepper and chilli allergy (including paprika and bell peppers), tomato allergy, onion and garlic allergy
- sulphur dioxide allergy
- vegan diet
- we can't alter dishes on our menu to suit dislikes (such as a dislike for fresh herbs, coriander, garlic, etc.)
if you’re unsure or you'd like to chat, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
cancellation policy
if you're a group of one person up to three people, you can cancel up to one day (i.e. 24 hours) before your reservation and we'll return your downpayment to you. you can cancel via the link in your confirmation email.
for groups of four, we ask that you let us know two days in advance (i.e. 48 hours) if you can't make it. a last-minute cancellation of four is a big loss to a restaurant of our petite size, and 48 hours give us time to refill the table.
